We design and write for a variety of clients, helping them with their communication strategies, design, messaging, social, and marketing initiatives. A Typical Work Week
This is a full-time, in-person position at our West Des Moines office. Remote work is not an option currently, although we work from home on Wednesdays.
The Creative Director is responsible for leading and managing the creative team while shaping the vision and strategy for branding, design, and visual storytelling at TwoTone Creative. This role will work closely with the graphic design, copywriting, video, and marketing departments to develop high-quality creative solutions that exceed client expectations and drive results. A high level of leadership, creative expertise, and strategic thinking is required for this role.

Other Responsibilities:
- Oversee timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and exceed expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage designers, copywriters, and other creatives to foster innovation, collaboration, efficiency, and professional growth.
- Review creative work, provide feedback, and guide the team toward excellence.
- Remain actively involved in hiring and training creative staff.
- Ensure agency systems and processes are followed for creative workflows.
- Meet with clients and leadership to define project goals and creative strategies.
- Maintain consistency in branding, design, and messaging across all platforms.
- Develop design solutions for both internal and client projects.
- Lead brainstorming and creative sessions to generate new ideas.
- Conduct market and industry research to stay ahead of design trends.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to align creative and marketing efforts.
- Ensure all visual communication meets brand standards and strategic goals.
- Oversee client proposals for branding and creative projects.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing or visual communications
- 5+ years of creative design or marketing experience
- Previous experience in management or leadership roles
- Previous agency experience
- Demonstrated strengths in project management, marketing, and communications
- Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment with a strong interest in graphic design
- Comfortable working with conservative Christian churches and non-profits
- Online portfolio displaying strong graphics and development skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of current trends and techniques
- Ability to clearly and professionally communicate visual solutions to support marketing strategies
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Positive outlook and professionalism in all aspects of daily tasks
- Uses good judgment and works with integrity
- Ability to quickly change from one project to another
- Adeptness with learning new apps and software
