Originally from the Philippines and raised in the Des Moines metro, Sofia studied digital journalism at the University of Northern Iowa. Her professional journey has included roles in the magazine industry, health care and human services—and even running an artisan ice cream shop.
Outside the office, you might find Sofia at a dance class or enjoying the outdoors with a long walk. An occasional pickleball player and mediocre (but persistent) plant parent, she loves spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends.
