Hands down, this is the best spot on the southside. Daily specials are killer, and they NEVER miss. If you are looking for a good Sunday Funday spot, the sangria is half-price all day on Sundays, and it’s phenomenal.

I’m here a lot; this is my favorite restaurant in Des Moines. My husband and I have become close with the manager and the servers. It feels so nice when you walk in and they don’t miss a beat to ask how you’ve been. The service is always 10/10, and the food is 11/10. Don’t walk—run to Aposto.

Currently the Snow Crab Gnocchi—they change their menu seasonally. No matter the season, their gnocchi is the best dish. (The manager named her cat Gnocchi after the dish because it is THAT good.)

Where do I start...G Migs is our go-to spot. We stop here every Tuesday in the summer on our way to play sand volleyball. The entire staff has fully embraced our presence and treats us like family. George (the owner and previous chef at Wakonda club) is always behind the grill making sure all of his customers have culinary perfection. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Abby’s ability to design quickly and creatively makes her the person to call when you need something done yesterday. She learns quickly, and her mind thrives when it is occupied with lots of ideas. She loves working on branding projects where she can let her creativity loose. Abby graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in graphic design. Following graduation, Abby went to school at Drake University and graduated with a master of arts in brand communication.
Abby is originally from Okoboji and loves to spend her weekends in the summer at the lake with family. Abby also loves to cook (she even created her own cookbook), and especially loves trying new recipes. In her free time, you can find Abby biking around Des Moines with friends, or watching the Food Network while enjoying a glass of wine.
